The CommBank app - the car dealership that comes to you.
My first creative job at M+C Saatchi was for CommBank - launching a new app feature that helps you search, compare and finance cars from your phone.
The idea? If you can buy a car anywhere, then the dealership is technically coming to you.
Cue the wavy yellow man - flapping on a field, at a bus stop, and in an office in our hero TVC like a balloon with an agenda.
It was exactly the kind of work I’d hoped to do in my first three months as a copywriter.
It was a classic retail campaign to introduce a new app feature. Here's the hero TVC.
But I'm proudest of the radio ad - I composed and wrote it.
The idea? Every car dealership has a cringey jingle.
What would the writer’s room sound like for the composers doing the CommBank app jingle?
